A general consultation is the starting point for most visits. Dra. Serra listens to what has brought you in, reviews your history and examines you where needed, then explains what she thinks is going on in plain terms.

Most concerns can be resolved in the same visit. When a test, a prescription or a referral is needed, you leave knowing what the next step is and when to come back.

The check-up covers the basics that matter most: blood pressure, weight and waist, heart and lung sounds, and a conversation about habits, sleep and mood. Blood and urine tests are arranged for the same day or the day before.

You receive a written summary with your results and clear recommendations. If something needs follow-up, we book it before you leave.

We give the vaccines in the Catalan calendar, the seasonal flu vaccine and catch-up doses for anyone whose record has gaps. Before each dose we check your history and answer any questions you have about side effects.

After the injection you stay with us for fifteen minutes as a precaution. The dose is recorded in your file and, when you ask us to, in your official vaccination record.

Our nurse takes blood and other samples at the practice between 08:30 and 10:30, Monday to Friday. Samples go to an accredited laboratory the same morning, and most results are back within two to three working days. The laboratory bills its analysis separately.

You do not have to read the report alone. Dra. Serra goes through the results with you, in person or by phone, and tells you plainly what they mean and whether anything needs doing.

Living with a long-term condition is easier when the same doctor follows you over time. At each review we look at your readings, adjust treatment if needed and make sure the plan still fits your life.

We coordinate with your specialists and keep your prescriptions in order so that you do not run out. Between visits, you can reach us by phone with questions.

When you need a specialist, we write the referral with a clear summary of your history so that the first appointment is useful from the start. We work with specialists in the private network and can advise on routes through the public system.

We also prepare medical certificates, absence notes and reports for insurers, schools, employers and sports clubs. Most documents are ready within 48 hours and can be collected or sent to you securely.

Children are seen for acute illness, growth and development checks and the routine vaccines of the Catalan calendar. We keep appointments a little longer so there is time to settle a nervous child and to answer parents’ questions.

Dra. Serra explains what she finds to the child as well as to you, in words they can follow. If a paediatric specialist is needed, we arrange the referral and stay involved.

Tell us where you are going, for how long and what you plan to do, and we put together what you need: the vaccines you can have here, malaria prevention where it applies, and a prescription for a small travel kit.

Some vaccines, such as yellow fever, are only given at international vaccination centres. In that case we tell you where to go and how far ahead to book.
